Sunday Stars Session – 1st November 2020
I do hope you all had a good half-term holiday.
This month’s parable is about a mustard seed. Matthew 13 , v31-32
The Parable of the Mustard Seed.
Jesus set another parable before them saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed it in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds but when it is grown, it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree so that birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.
Jesus teaches us that although the Kingdom of God started small, it would grow and spread across the World.
Do simple things with love.
Suggested activities (with parent’s guidance)
- Have you ever seen a mustard seed ? It is very small. Perhaps you could grow some at home, see how tall they may grow.
- Draw a tree showing the different birds nesting in it.
- Ask your parent for an empty matchbox and see how many really small things you can put in it.
Have fun !
