Thomas Rooke died, aged 64.<\/p>\n<p>20th May 1891<br \/>\nRoom created out of stables adjoining the church, for Sunday School. Now parish hall.<\/p>\n<p>1910<br \/>\nChurch listed in Crockfords as an Ecclesiastical District with a curate in charge.<\/p>\n<p>24th April 1911<br \/>\nNave building begun.<\/p>\n<p>6th June 1911<br \/>\nFoundation stone laid.<\/p>\n<p>22nd November 1911<br \/>\nNave consecrated by Bishop Mylne (Rector of Alvechurch who was Bishop of Bombay (1876 &#8211; 1897).<\/p>\n<p>22nd November 1914<br \/>\nNew high altar dedicated and consecrated.<\/p>\n<p>1st April 1919<br \/>\nLand between church and hall purchased to complete ownership of existing property.<\/p>\n<p>20th May 1920<br \/>\nFirst Parish Council Meeting held &#8211; Rev. Verity in chair, C. Stiles elected vice-chairman.<\/p>\n<p>19th December 1923<br \/>\nLicence to solemnise marriages granted.<\/p>\n<p>12th October 1926<br \/>\nParsonage house completed &#8211; PCC held in study.<\/p>\n<p>4th July 1937<br \/>\nDedication of British Legion Banner.<\/p>\n<p>April 1938<br \/>\nRev. Downey donated offertory bags and St. George&#8217;s flag.<\/p>\n<p>Easter 1939<br \/>\nChurchwarden staves in brass fleur-de-lis given, previously used in Bromsgrove Church<\/p>\n<p>1st October 1948<br \/>\nDistrict named Conventional District of Astwood Bank with Crabbs Cross with a curate in charge appointed by Bishop.<\/p>\n<p>3rd December 1948<br \/>\nChurch re-roofing completed.<\/p>\n<p>1st October 1950<br \/>\nAstwood Bank and Crabbs Cross to become separate district &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>20th Octomer 1950<br \/>\nRev.Owen instituted as the first Vicar.<\/p>\n<p>18th January 1960<br \/>\nMovable rail with kneeler attached for Lady chapel given.<\/p>\n<p>29th April 1962<br \/>\nDedication of Garden of Memory.<\/p>\n<p>3rd November 1963<br \/>\nNorth side chapel door closed. Dedicated by Rural Dean, Whit Sunday June 6th.<\/p>\n<p>9th August 1970<br \/>\nStained glass window, theme of the Eucharist, gift of Mr. George Walton, in memory of his mother placed in Lady Chapel. (First stained glass window in church). Dedicated by Bishop.<\/p>\n<p>1976<br \/>\nChancel floor relaid.<\/p>\n<p>1st April 1980<br \/>\nCrabbs Cross joins the Ridge Team. Astwood Bank on its own.<\/p>\n<p>July 1984<br \/>\nCentenary Celebration. All living clergy with connections to church at celebration service.<\/p>\n<p>13th May 1985<br \/>\nEast Window replaced by stained glass window in memory of Harry Draper. Designed by C.
