Sunday June 7th

Sunday Stars   June 7th  2020  Trinity Sunday

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have had a great week, the weather has certainly changed and I have got caught a couple of times in the rain showers.

The Bible reading for this Trinity Sunday is Matthew ch 28 v 16 – 20

Jesus tells his disciples to go out into the world to teach and baptize adults and children in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

This Sunday we recognize and rejoice in the fact that God is many things to us.

God is Father, the Creator, He is Jesus Christ and He is the Holy Spirit.

Some years ago a wonderful Sunday School  teacher called Hilary demonstrated how something could be more than one thing like the Trinity.  Hilary displayed some ice cubes, a jug of water and a kettle.  She then boiled the water in the kettle to show the steam coming out of it.

Hilary told us “you see the ice cubes will melt to be water, the steam coming from the kettle is water and the jug has water in it.  Three things but they are all made up of water.”

Suggested activity:

  1. If you have time this week make some fairy cakes with your Mum or Dad. The mixture you will use will be of equal quantities of 125 grams each for the flour, margarine and sugar then add an egg.  You could ice them and show the Trinity with a triangle or three interlocking circles.
  1. See how many different ways you can represent the Trinity.

Keep safe

Thinking of you all.

God Bless.
